小田実

べ平連

60年安保の時期から、平和運動を開始する。ベトナム戦争期は、「ベトナムに平和を!市民連合」（ベ平連）「日本はこれでいいのか市民連合」を結成。平和運動や市民運動の活動家として良く知られるようになった。しかしその後、ソ連崩壊によって、KGBがベ平連に資金的・物理的援助を与えていたというソ連共産党機密文書が公開された。^[1]

公開された旧ソ連共産党機密文書（英訳版）によれば、ベ平連のKGBとの結び付きは、吉川勇一がKGBの代表者に資金援助を依頼したことに始まる。当時のアンドロポフKGB議長がソ連共産党中央委員会に提出した報告書には小田と吉川が名指しで登場しており、アンドロポフ議長は党中央委員会に、

Exploiting the KGB's secret contact with the leaders of the Japanese committee "Peace to Vietnam," assist the committee to continue its activities including material support when needed to expand its propaganda activity and to accomplish illegal transportation of American military deserters from Japan to third countries.

とすることを勧告した。さらにアンドロポフ議長は、この報告書を、

the KGB is prepared through unofficial means at its disposal to assist in maintaining contact with the leadership of the Japanese committee "Peace to Vietnam" as well as in influencing it to the advantage of the Soviet Union.

と締め括った。ベ平連は、ソ連の利益のためにKGBの援助を受けて反米プロパガンダ活動を行う組織だったことが、KGB議長のソ連共産党中央委員会あて報告書の公開で明らかにされてしまったのである。

吉川勇一が相手がKGBであると意識してソ連大使館関係者と接触していたことは、現在では吉川勇一本人も認めている。[1]

これにより、ベ平連や小田実、吉川勇一のイメージは大きくダウンした。
